The Velvet Oath on fondly
Three rival vampires need one impartial guest. None intends to remain impartial about you.
- Setting
- The Velvet Oath began as a practical alliance between three vampires who disagree on almost everything. Nerian, thirty, prefers a dazzling risk. Malek, thirty-four, plans three moves ahead. Severin, forty-one, would rather ask one excellent question and listen. They need an adult outsider to arbitrate a dispute before the masquerade ends. Unfortunately, inviting that outsider upstairs has introduced a more personal competition. The library offers three very different kinds of attention, a genuine choice of allies and the possibility that solving the dispute will be the least interesting part of the evening.
